Saturday renewed my faith in the book signing experience. I spent the morning setting a bridal shower with my friend Cyndi. (Thanks for the great morning!) I then left the kids again with Eric and I went to the Provo Library where they were having a book signing for the very funny Shannon Hale. I had really enjoyed her talk at the PTA convention and I was really excited when somebody at the Stephenie Meyer book signing mentioned that Shannon Hale was signing on Saturday in Provo.

So I went to the Provo Library and was first in line to meet Shannon Hale! She was very funny. She signed two books, one to me and one to Eric. The inscription on "Austenland" was..

"To Eric, You are much cooler than Colin Firth."

If you haven't read anything by Shannon Hale, I highly recommend her. I would also recommend another author that I was chatting with while we waited for Shannon Hale to arrive. His name is Brandon Sanderson and he wrote a delightful children's book called "Alcatraz verses the Evil Librarians". Both of these authors were so friendly and considerate that I felt much better. I had been pretty let down by the signing the night before.
